Can anyone recommend an inexpensive yet sturdy speaker stand that will hold these speakers and not easily tip them?

The dimensions of the Jamo C603 are H x W x D (13.6 x 6.9 x 11.3)

Not much different than my Energy RC-10s (13 x 6.7 x 10.5)

These Sanus stands will easily accommodate them.

use some Blu Tack to hold the speaker in place and you're set!

Depends on your neighbors and your listening habits. Adding a sub would take some of the strain off of your Onkyo AVR and should give you a fuller sound even at lower volumes.

Thanks, and thanks for the prompt reply, any help is much appreciated! I'm just trying to figure out if the added cost is worthwhile. I only started my home theater last year and I seem to be buying something for it every few months tongue.gif

Is it important that I get a matching subwoofer for the speakers? If so, do you know which speaker is best suited with my current set? I'm asking because I can probably get a much cheaper Canadian brand subwoofer.

Your subwoofer does not need to be the same brand as your speakers. In fact independent or internet direct sub companies will give you better bang for the buck.

Not sure what is available to you in Canada though. How much are you willing to spend?

Honestly, I have no idea how much a subwoofer should cost, so I guess another question would be how much should I spend given my existing equipment? I don't want to compromise now and kick myself later.

I may be returning my C603's. Turns out they are not New as specified by the Seller but used and with apparent cabinet damage on a portion of one side of a speaker that was covered up by a poor paint job on their part. And no manual included with the box. Other signs also that they misrepresented the condition of the speakers in their Amazon listing.

That being the case, I am hoping to return them and find a new pair. Another idea came to mind. The C605's. Does anybody know whether or not they would be a step up in terms of the quality of sound from the C603? I am certain the soundstage will be larger since the C605 is a tower and the C603 is a bookshelf.

Any opinions?

I've heard the c605's and own the c603's. I'm no expert, but there seemed to me to be a definite step up. I suppose the cost difference could be warranted depending on the usage and personal taste. However, I found the c603's to be excellent speakers in their own right.

Thanks. I just heard from the seller of the speaker and he'll take them back. Looks like he was not at fault but apparently the Distributor where he purchased them from was. At the very least QC at Jamo dropped the ball on this one and it never should have left the factory.

Has anyone ever used the C60 surrounds on a back wall in a 5.1 setup? I currently have the following:

2- C607
1- C60 center
1- SUB 650

My listening position will be 6-7ft away from the back. Because of the closet it is not possible for the C60 surrounds to be placed at the 110 degree position that Jamo recommends. Any thoughts on this?

I recently sold a set of LCR ONE and currently love my Atlantic tech thx gear. Has anyone compared to the jamo d500 or d600? Are they similar to the LCR one? I absolutely loved the LCR one. They had a surprising resolution and were not overly bright at all. A sweet warm sound I loved with music that I am curious if it follows all jamo lines, cause I need it back!
Ideally a pair of bookshelves (the cherry 603 are great looking) but if it takes the d series to get there I can go that way.

Need some advice. Looking on adding a Nuvo Grand Concerto into my house that I'm building and need some advice on what type of Jamo speakers would be best for music to put throughout the house.

Great to see such a long lived thread. Helped reassure me that I'd be buying into a decent brand.

On the verge of purchasing a C607/603/60 set and pairing it with a Marantz nr1603 AVR. I would appreciate some guidance on the receiver being a decent match.

Space is currently a premium (cabinet has a HTPC in it, so can't take another full height receiver) hence the reason for this receiver.

I've also come across a well priced Jamo D4 sub that I won't be able to audition prior to purchase. Does anyone have experience enough to pass judgement on it? Would I be better off going for one of the single driver options?
