Is this a 100 watt LPFM station... so then the HD transmitter is only 1 Watt ?

I would like to look up the data on the FCC site. What are the call letters/ location ?

I believe that KMSE 88.7 (250W), 89.3 The Current is broadcasting in HD... all 2.5 watts of HD, anyway. That's what HDRadio.com says, but I don't have an HD tuner to verify it (I've got direct LOS to it from the top of the hill.)

I think that a real test of the Analog/HD power ratio scaleing will come if sombody applys HD to a 10 Watt translator... the HD will only be 0.1 Watt! This may work just fine and give coverage about equal to the analog signal, or perhaps the HD signal will be lost in the "noise floor". Does anybody know of a 10 Watt translator broadcasting HD?

Friday night seems to be all the good metal... it went from 1200 watts to 9600

this one is only 4,000 watts. they tried a bit of a multicast but it was just a delay of their normal content.

Even less than that is this one only 1700 watts

I'm not in range enough for 107.3 to come in hd (it's in worchester 53 miles away)

These ones are pretty sensitive though. I'm more apt to get them stationary rather than moving and I think they might be more directional.

From the FCC site,

WERS Coverage:

http://www.fcc.gov/fcc-bin/FMTV-serv...=FM150068.html

WKAF Coverage:

http://www.fcc.gov/fcc-bin/FMTV-serv...FM1145291.html

This is the "protected" coverage area for the analog... the digital *should* work ok within these areas.

It appears that WKAF has a construction permit to go to 2700 watts.
