i just noticed in the amazon.com ad on the site there're HD-DVD players and movies listed.

also on the Hi-Def Hot List page there are sales numbers and top x titles listed, including HD-DVD formats. so while this is a site backed by Blu-ray studios, they didnt completely omit everything HD-DVD. pretty certain tho they wont be showing any statistics favoring HD-DVD tho.

Its like the Fox News for video enthusiasts. What I don't get is if they are so certain Bluray has already won, why are they doing crap like this?

Check out the "news" portion of the site. Every headline that mentions HD-DVD does it in a negative way.

If the Blu-ray camp has so much studio support and is so confident they will prevail, they've already declared themselves the victors of the war several times over, why do they spend so much time cranking out propaganda? Why not start putting out good discs instead?

There are plenty of good BDs out already. Maybe this site is in response to the lookandsoundofnowherenearperfect.com?

Why do you have to be that way. As a former HD DVD supporter you yourself know that HD DVD PQ is = BD PQ. It all depends on the title. This war has nothing to do with PQ.

...it is because they are not certain they have won. They are blowing a lot of hot air and continuing what is basically a smear campaign to influence the public.

Exactly! I was just responding to Rusty's jab at BD quality. There are plenty of good and bad BDs and HD DVDs.

they are, which is what puzzles me b/c they are one of the biggest reasons some ppl are holding out on joining the Blu side. with the ps3 sales going way up now after the price drop hopefully they'll start announcing and releasing some titles to go with the hardware soon.

edit: and not at $35 a pop for movies on BD25.

Fox you suck so bad. Promote it on a new website, but don't let me buy it. GRRRRR.

I wasn't implying anything about the quality of BD. I should have said MORE discs.

uhhh...considering that is actually the official HD DVD website and this is just propaganda, it's not equal.

Besides, don't we already have a website like this called The Digital Bits?

And calling HD DVD's "the look and sound of perfect" isn't propaganda?

That is an excellent site created by the Blu-Ray studios. I especially love the trailers. They just sold me on Sky High and I wouldn't have bought it without seeing that trailer.

Here's hoping they add more trailers to the website.

Blu-ray Superbit: A Slice Of Heaven

"Bluray 2.0. Turns you and everyone you know into Jesus"
