Craig does your motion 8 seem loud enough? Maybe I'm going def from factory work but I have a motion c and just does not seem loud enough.
Ha ha - my wife tells me I watch movies too load because I'm going deaf ( maybe from watching movies too loud ). Well, I had issues with my previous center - an Axiom VP150. The Motion 8 was an improvement, but not a 100% fix for hearing dialog.
Last night, I removed my Denon 4310, and installed a 4520. I ran the Audyseey MultEQ XT32 room correction. This time, unlike with the previous Audyseey on the 4310, I left it set just the way Audyseey wanted - no tweeks, no center channel adjustment ( usually up ). Then I watched parts of Zero Dark Thirty ( which I've watched twice, and found some dialog to be difficult to understand ). Wow - huge difference. I'm starting to think that the Audyseey XT32 made a bigger improvement to center channel dialog clarity than switching speakers, but both most likely helped. Last week I would have agreed. Now, it's perfect. So much so, that I'm going to scrap plans to go to 11.2 and enjoy this setup.
What reciever are you using? I noticed that the review of the Marantz 8801 in Home Theater magazine made mention of the same thing, regarding Audyseey MultEQ XT32 and center channel dialog clarity.
