Vista Upgrade disc

I installed the upgrade of Vista Home Premium over my XP MCE, and now I'm wondering how to do a Clean install of Vista? Do i understand it correctly that I cannot just put the disc in the drive and start up my computer?

Any help out there on how to get a clean install of vista going?

Here's an article that explains how to do a clean install from a Vista upgrade disc:

I "upgraded" my XP install and got an incredibly buggy install. I think with Vista, clean install is the only way to go. The double install method should work. With the first install, don't enter an install key. Pick the correct version from the choices, and install. Once this is going, choose to install again from the working copy of Vista.

Can I still do the double install if I've already installed it and activated?

Sure. All your hardware will be the same. Once I reinstalled and activated MCE 2005 three times in a very short period, and I didn't have any problems.

Worst case, you will need to call Microsoft. Just tell them that the first install was buggy so you are reinstalling on the same hardware, and they will give you an activation code.
