Are there any smaller LCD TVs with LED backlighting? Are there any affordable ones?

Since LED backlighting really seems to be proliferating into more and more LCD TVs and monitors now, I'm wondering if there are any smaller sets that have LED backlighting (32" or so and under), and if there are any, no matter what size, that are affordable.

If you could help me to find any such sets, I'd greatly appreciate it.

Thank you.

While I don't know much about LED monitors, I am fairly certain that the only LCD TVs with an LED backlight are the Samsung 81 series, which aren't on the market yet. They are due some time in the next couple of months from what I have read on these forums. Not 100% sure though.

I believe Zadmax is correct.

I just looked up the Samsung 81 series a little. Prices and sizes start at $3000 for the 40" one. It's reasonable for that size, but I really want the price to come down a bit more. I'll be watching this series.

Has anyone else come up with any other models with LED backlighting?

Thanks.

Do you mean variable backlighting? ie turning a pixel sized LED completely off for black and on (to varying degrees) to simulate contrast presumably without any leakage of light to adjacent pixels?

This seems such a simple idea, I don't understand why it isn't used. Or maybe it is and my lack of knowledge in the subject is glaringly obvious.

NEC makes a 21.3" display with LED backlighting, but it isn't inexpensive ($6500).

It's a professional display for graphic artists that need exceptional color accuracy.
