Pioneer PRO-1540 Elite vs. PDP_6070

Hello Everyone,

I am about to purchase a 60" Pioneer plasma and here is the situation; I can get a brand new 6070 for $3,200 or an Elite 1540 with a couple of hours (like new) for $3,700. I have read the posts here but still want to know your opinion. Should I pay the extra $500 and get the Elite or I will be as happy with the 1540???

for the $500 difference get the elite. the warranty is 2 years on the elite instead of one for the 6070, plus the added controls and networking. you know the seller and can check the hours to be sure it is low then get the elite. you will be happy with either choice

Welcome to AVS. Check out the first post in the following thread which should help in your decision. It details all of the differences between the two panels and also has instructions on how to check the hours as dssturbo1 suggests. For $500 more and providing the 1540 is in excellent condition, I'd go for the Elite too.
