galileo2000, Maybe you should grab a HV10 that way you could use your HV20 in India & use the HV10 in your search for Burmuda
Yep, From what I've read it's not quite as good as an HV20 but for it's size it's a lot easier to bring with you & at about 1/2 the price of a HV20 it starts looking better & better.
Myself I can't afford one right now & I'm hoping that next year "Refurbished" HV20's will be going for around $500
Well the camera (purchased yesterday w/ 2nd day shipping) came in today, TigerDirect came thru as usual.
Of course, I have become an uber HDV dork today, consuming as much info on this cam, HD editing, and more. At this point, I think I am going to have to build a new editing/rendering PC. (My current HTPC is only a AMD 64 3200+)
Cam came packaged with all of items found in the retail version. This is the 2nd OEM Canon purchase that I have made (other was a SD 600) and I have been satisfied both times.
As mentioned in my first post, I previously have used a PC-55 that I bought 3/05. That being said, the form factor of the HV10 is familiar to me.
Of course I needed to compare PQ, so I did a couple of quick shots outside. The HV10 was more than impressive. Displayed via component on my Sammy HLS 56". I am very pleased and will be sure to share my trips to both India and BERMUDA
in the future.
