Several years ago, I saw that Spike had reruns of CSI on quite often.
Since I hadn't seen many from the first season, I thought I would Tivo them from Spike and watch when nothing else was on.
I am not a huge "quality" snob, but the picture was really really bad. It was the first time since I had my 50" DLP that I could not stomach a SD show.
Aside from watching the old reruns, I really do not have a use for this channel. And the picture and sound quality have not improved.
With all the new HD channels coming, I must say that this one (Spike) is a perfect example of a channel I would never watch, HD or not.
Watching old reruns is a last resort type of viewing for me.
Newer original programming would be #1 on my wishlist for HD. Sports would be #2, and movies would be #3.
With HBO, SHO, STARZ, MAX, HDNet, FOX (soon), and MGM (soon), I see no reason to watch movies on TBS, Spike etc...
I admit that even with DVRs all throughout my home, commercials during movies are a nuisance that I do not want to deal with anymore.
