Well for me
I am using two of the exact same sub...and as stated before that is a requirement for my system to meet THX ultra standards
I assume that otherwise the SPL ability of just one sub does not meet the THX ultra standard
If I went with a bigger sub...and wanted to still meet the THX standard..I guess I could buy the larger sub that went with the Atlantic technology 370 or 450 system
But I still argue that 2 subs should not freak out audessey...as I recall in the newer Atlantic Technology home theater systems...at least the in wall speakers...they still require two subs to meet THX ultra standards
Surely any speaker manufacturer that builds high end home theater speakers knows the ins and outs of Audessey and likely works that into their designs
By the way...these speakers are connected to my 875
My 875 is connected to some a celection home theater home theater system..AVP 305...and it only has one sub
By the way..on another note..as I mentioned a few pages ago in this thread ..another one of my 875's in in the shop for the 3rd time( under warranty)
Onkyo told me if it breaks 4 times under warranty they typically replace it
I didn't ask with what
any one have any experience with Onkyo replacing their units ?
