i've spent about the last hour googling a few different topics but i have yet to find a definitive answer to my question.
the question is: can 1080p be displayed via component cables? part of my research led to the ICT issue and i have read that it won't be an issue until 2012 supposedly, but that is more of a hardware compatibility issue (some early HDTV's not being HDCP compatible). so the basic question is, are component cables physically capable of delivering full 1080p? this would be relevant to xbox 360 (non-elite) owners whose consoles don't have an HDMI output.
thank you.
