I am shopping for a new LCD for my in-laws as a gift from the "kids". We have a budget of $500. The in-laws are in their late 60s, and hearing is not so good. The TV is going in their office/lounge to replace a 19" CRT which burned out a few months ago. They have Comcast Digital and will be upgrading to a HD box. I was looking at the Sharp LC26SH12U at Costco, but sound quality and volume reviews have not been good. Are there any other LCDs that have the PQ/size of the Sharp but with very good sound quality and volume?
