I posted this in the PQ thread awhile back, but is there a reason why "School for Scoundrels" isn't on the rated or to be rated list?

How many times do you intend to bump this three-day-old thread?

We should add polls for:

300
Shaun of the Dead
Hot Fuzz
The Bourne Identity

I'm not a fan of the tier thread but this voting system improves its validity in my eyes. I voted on all the movies I've watched through and will continue as they come in.
Being John Malkovich is a debatable transfer. It appears a little dingy but thats the only way I have ever seen the movie. Under scrutiny detail appeared correct and I didn't observe noise, just grain. By the definitions in the poll it seems to me to be a solid 3. Of course, I still think of The Deer Hunter as one of the most impressive transfers. The 65mm outdoors shots, in the beginning, are beautiful and the jungle shots are appropriately grainy and beat up. It just looks exactly like a film to me. Thats where I'm coming from.

I would rate Blood Diamond at 4.5 - in my opinion, it wasnt 5, but was better than 4.

Thank you! Please discuss the picture quality of the movies in the official thread: http://www.avsforum.com/avs-vb/showthread.php?t=856119

All you're doing is pushing other threads (where actual discussions are going on) to the second page. It's one thing if you have something to add or are having a conversation with someone, but you're just bumping it for the sake of bumping it. If people cared about voting, they would go to the sticky thread - that's what it's there for. In fact, the review section of this forum was created specifically so that people would stop creating new threads every time some new titles were released.

Please stop.

This thread is a companion thread of the thread you linked, used to collect the votes before adding the new movies. The reason is very simple: previously we needed to open a poll for every movie to collect the opinions on pq. The forum was filled with polls and unreadable (like the Blu-Ray forum now). Now we open a single thread once a month, bumped for 4-5 days, that collect all the polls on a single post. I believe this is a great improvement, and of very little disturbance to all people here, but still bringing a service to the community, that needs to have a list that collects the quick votes on pq on the new movies every month. The AVS Review are a different kind of beasts, because they are detailed reviews and often non in enough number.

Anyway, this is the last bump for this month. The votes casted will be used to rank the movies in the main thread.

I really don't understand why a "companion" thread is needed when the other thread is already a sticky. The polls are put in the first post of that thread anyway - there's really no reason to start a new thread with identical links (and then bump it for days on end.) There's no need to "collect the votes" from this thread since the polls have nothing to do with this thread. No one's voting in it - or even discussing the new releases - it's mostly just you posting "up" and me complaining about it. Why not just add a post to the sticky thread, alerting those who care that there are additional polls available?

One bump too many. Sorry. It's rude. Your thread is no more important than any other.
