Wow! Warner used the Alternate Euro cover.

Here's the preliminary artwork cover with Hillary Swank for the movie that was dropped.

anyone remember jimmy fallon playing her on SNL? "i'm a girl you know?"

anyways, i'd give this one a rental, have several friends who seen it say it was boring. i thought this movie was PG-13 and not R.

The movie is only 99 minutes long. A BD25 should be sufficient IMO.

My impression is that Warners does the VC-1 encode to optimally fit on HD DVD and then selects the size of the Blu-ray disk based on the size of that VC-1 encode (plus extras of course).

The size of the BD is a secondary consideration to their team after optimizing for HD DVD.

I agree, that cover art is amazing! The movie OTOH, perhaps not:

I missed this one in theatres, but I'll try to catch it on disc...that cover art is excellent.

It's a decent flick. I would say a strong rental. It started off great but like Vacancy the ending just chickened out and had test audience ending written all over it, IMO. As far as audio and visual wise, I did say after leaving the theater that it will look awesome in HD. The TrueHD track should be pretty good especially when the heavy effects scenes kick in.

Will buy this one. With the HD DVD being identical as to features, it makes it easier to the pick the Blu-ray for it's lower price.

It just hit me - but the girl on the cover is the little girl from Bridge to Terabithia. She's a good little actress.

the BD disc will probably last longer too in terms of getting scratched.
