New to all this video clip lark, so please bear with me.

I have downloaded some HD clips from usenet, but i don't know what "type" they are.

ie resolution, interlaced/non-interlaced, bitrate etc.

Is there a natty utility that can tell you all this information about a video file?

Many Thanks

If its HD you can assume...

.TS= Mpeg2 or H.264
.Mkv= A Re-Encode using x264(H.264)
.Avi= Most likely Xvid or Wmv3

These are just containers, it could be any codec. The ones I listed are the most popular.
