For the life of me I cannot understand why they don't use less adhesive glue when the stick those stupid stickers all over exposed packaging. I'd be even happier if they just stopped using them altogether.
I already returned one copy of Hellboy II because of damage from removing the dumb digital copy sticker. In case anyone at the studios are listening: Normally I don't buy packages like this, but this one was a gift. Yes, that's majorly anal of me, but nonetheless I don't like paying $25-30 for special edition versions of discs when the discs are pre-damaged by the distributor by useless stickers.
I can't remove all the adhesive for the second copy of Hellboy II either, because it's stuck between the ridges of that picture in the front.
Is there an address at Universal Canada I can write to request an unblemished cardboard outer case?
P.S. Warner Bros. had a better solution. They covered the thing in plastic, so any applied stickers would be stuck to the plastic. Yeah it's wasteful, but if we wouldn't have this problem if they stopped adding those useless stickers in the first place. Less waste both for plastic and for paper.
