Hey guys I finally getting my 885 from Onkyo here is a email from my installer, it seem that the folks at Onkyo didn't want to deal with me..So they would talk to the installer as if I wasn't even there.I am just happy I am getting my 885,but a bit worried that the board (OLD) they installed would enable some features? I don't know much about these things.

Daniel, the saga is ending. David called today to say your unit is repaired and on its way to you. They found a "cracked board," whatever that means. Through some miracle they were able to find a new board. As to whether you would have been better off replacing the unit several weeks ago, rest assured of your decision: a new shipment is still at least a week away. I, too, cannot get Onkyo to pay for your shipping, so I will reimburse you the cost if you can email or fax me the receipt at *******in the event I can reach a higher level person in the company; I cannot believe this is standard Onkyo practice not to accomodate a customer for a unit DOA. Sorry for this whole inconvenience, and I hope in a few days as you enjoy the preamp, you will have happy thoughts.
Oh and my installer was amazing, great guy....
