Got the blinking light on my Mit. WS55613 Tuesday am.
Wow was I depressed. Searched for an answer and found it here. The fix was pretty easy. Replaced the capacitors in my DM module. Had the TV working again by Tuesday evening.
Thanks to all.

There are small ceramic fuses on the DM that might need checking. Especially the one that supplies power to the capacitors. I found that my board needed that fuse replaced. It is a surface mounted fuse and could have the new one soldered directly on the older one, might be preferred to trying to de-solder the old one. A multimeter should do the trick in diagnosing the fuses. Good luck.

Thanks Tony V. I have checked the three fuses on the back of the board and none of the three show open, Im not sure what else to do. I was excited to see this was a common problem and there was a fix but very disappointed when it didnt fix mine. Any other help? Thanks

Have you made sure that the capacitors were placed correctly according to polarity? There is a negative and positive leg. I made that mistake and had to remove and resolder the cap. It was found before I reinstalled the board.
There is a error code retrieval procedure, however, DM problems don't seem to trip error codes. Does the TV try and turn on or does it just blink?

Yea the polarity is correct, the tv doesnt do anything but have the blinking green light, i have left it unplugged, pushed the reset, just the dang blinking green light! and it makes a clicking noise, sounds like its from the power supply board but im not positive.

All,

I'm comforted to know that others also have the same problem as me. Specifically, I have a Mitsubishi WS65711 and the front light has been blinking green non-stop ever since we had a power outage.

Could someone please e-mail me the needed schematics to replace the caps on the DM board? Thanks VERY MUCH in advance for your help!

Please e-mail to: sadguy.tv@gmail.com

Thanks again for your help.

Hi PackRat2112,

Thanks for doing all you have on this issue. Hopefully you can help me out also. I have the WS 55511 model and I didn't see a guide for it. If you have one for the cap replacement can you send me a copy? Or if you do not have one if another model will do the trick please send it. Thanks jamesbutchko@me.com

My set had been dead for over a year but it is too big to move out of my bedroom. When I first bought it took 2 technicians to bring it inside my house and they took it apart. Otherwise I'd have thrown it out a long time ago.
As of 2 days ago feb 14th, I got my set fixed following your instructions. I spent $2 dollars and change in parts to fix it. My set is working great. All I can say is thanx PackRat2112 for forwarding the file with the instructions. Thank you so much

Telabeach

ps
for anyone who might need the file, please email me at gguardado@comcast(dot)net I'll be more than happy to forward the instructions along with the tv schematics.

Just wanted to say thanks to everyone who posted on this site for there knowledge and kindness that helped me diagnose my issue. I removed my dm board and took it to one of the last remaining " mom n pop" shops around and asked if that would swap out my capacitors for me...they did and it fixed my blinking light problem so cheers to all!

where can I find the SERVICE manual for Model WD-57734
I have the blinking greeen light problem..
thanks

is there a site where they show how to replace the 4 caps on this model?

I could not turn off my WS65711 with remote or front button. Unplugged it, let it sit overnight - plugged it back in. Light flashes for about 30 seconds then stops. Still will not power up. Is that the same symptom or does the light blink continously? Will the cap replacement fix this problem?

Please send the procedure steve.zajkowski@comcast.net

Thanks,
