Wii Component Cable - Seperated Audio and Video Connectors

Has anyone found a decent Wii component cable where the video and audio connectors are not blocked together at the ends with the component RGB and LR connectors? I finally picked up a Wii and bought the Nintendo-branded component cable only to get it home and find that the connectors are all blocked together, which doesn't work if you have you screen mounted away from your receiver like me.

I noticed the React Component Cable for Nintendo Wii on BestBuy.com, it advertises separation, but its not completely explicit.

This technology is achieved by splitting the video signal into three parts, each traveling through its own cable. You'll be amazed at the difference a high-quality cable can offer. With 6' to work with, you've got plenty of options in deciding where to place your Nintendo Wii.

Anyone tried this cable of found others that are separated?

Thanks!

Just hook the Audio red and white up to rca cable extensions. Problem solved.

I just run in into my TV then run the audio out from my TV to the receiver.

Soundsl ike you need to use some couplers and buy some longer RCA cables.

^^^ Yep, what the other 3 replies have said. However, before the component cables came out many people were modding the composite connectors to get component. If you want to try a DIY project to get the 3 video cables seperate do a search for homemade component or something like that. If you try this, let us know how it works out.

Hope this helps.

Thanks for the responses. I was trying to avoid using the barrel couplers because I have a pretty small wiring pass through in my wall. I don't have any audio out on the way my TV is set up (Panasonic th-50ph9).

Anyone tried the React cable and know if the audio and video connectors are separated near the connection to the Wii?

Thanks.

The React cable is all one cable until about 8 inches from the end, where it splits into the 5 sub cables. At least the one I bought back in December is!

if you don't want to use an extension, just cut the outer layer open.
