Denon's DVD-2500BTCI Blu-Ray Player OWNERS Thread - Page 85

Just bought the new XMen and refuse to play, it stick on the menu without possibility or getting out of there.

Is there any more firmware available.
Forget about it, the remote control just failed.

figured i would give an update in case anyone was having a similar problem

sent the unit to Panurgy in NJ and they quoted me $810 to fix it...not kidding

I promptly said no thanks


UPDATE: Panurgy wanted to charge me $55 to ship the unit back to me when it only cost me $12 to ship it to them.

I emailed them a fedex label now telling me I need to pay for packaging because they immediately throw all boxes and packaging away.

Is this place for real?

Let them have it. These items are disposable.

well not true, its the DVD Mechanism so if I can find a broken one with a different problem I can just switch them out...not a big deal since I have a PS3 and another player but I like the 2500

funny you say that though, unit was delivered on saturday and immediately noticed numerous scratches on the top and around the HDMI port so I couldnt help but think it wasnt my unit and sure enough the serial numbers didnt match so definitely not my unit. I guess this is why they charge so much for return shipping thinking most people will just say keep it

similar problem to mine but slightly different...yeah ill be putting a stop on that inital charge
