Need Speaker Please Help Me!!!

I have a chance to get a brand new set of KEF-IQ9DA floor standing speaker at a very very low price, I have never heard KEF speaker in my life, I know years ago these were considered decent speakers. Should I jump, I can get them for under $700 for the pair. Thanks in advance, I can also get the matching surrounds and sub etc at the same discount..

It depends on a lot of factors like what you are looking for and why but yes they are very nice speakers for that price.
I have them in one of my rooms.

That's a good price for those, if you like them. I personally don't like them at all, to my ears they're quite harsh and lack focus.

Whats cracks me up about this forum is that if this title was about the PQ of smallville or something stupid like that I would have dozens of replys. THANKS for all the great info..

Are there any goodcheap floorstanders out there besides the used $20.00 Sharp floorstanders that have been beckoning me! Sony sounds Dull to me with its over inflated bass that sounds like it's forcing itself to put out more bass. the receivers and stereo's sound that way too.

SONY used to be great.

Sony tries to compensate for the weak amp by bringing up the bass levels (like certain Music producers)

This also applies to their discmans with Even Good Aftermarket Headphones

Anybody in here listen to Ian Van Dahl?

I don't know why it would crack you up. Everybody's seen Smallville.

A small percentage of people have heard " KEF-IQ9DA floor standing speaker".

If the deal is that good, buy them and if you hate them sell for a profit.
