I just want to ask a quick question to those of you who have had a calibration done. When it was all finished, were you blown away by the change or was it just a slight change to you?
I recently had one done and after hearing reports on how people reacted after seeing theirs done, I expected to see a huge change and be blown away. Unfortunately I wasn't. It doesn't look that much different to me at all.
SD is still extremely grainy whereas I was expecting that to be cleared up, the colors pretty much look the same to me, and I still to this day don't get it when people say their HD picture looks 3D. Mine doesn't.
Maybe my set and the settings I had were pretty close, but it seems strange to me that I miraculously had a near perfect set while all these others in testimonials I have read are so far off it would have to be nearly unwatchable.
I don't know, maybe I just expected a whole lot more out of HD than is physically possible. Granted, it's far better than SD, but in no way am I ever blown away by the HD picture.
Anyway, just curious as to what your reactions were to your calibrations.
