Ha.

I brought this up earlier

I looked on her profile and she hasn't signed on (at that time) in a year or so. Hopefully she's doing OK

Loved the Stu and Marcy conversation about their (lack of) sex.

Hank moving back to New York would make for a fresh season that's for sure.

Wow, that was a great season closure.

Poor Hank

I really enjoyed this season.

Yeah he almost had his moment, stopped by that woman...

Did he dialed 911? he must have or he's dead meat, LOL

Yep, the writers can never let Hank have his moment in the sun...Whenever everything seems to be going perfectly for him, it all goes to sh*t

Better she kills Hank Moody than Raylan Givens.

Yeah, Natalie Zea just seems to attract those crazy momma roles. Hung, Cali and close to normal in Justified.

Can't wait to see what Runkle has been up to. Tonight! biggrin.gif
post #974 of 1028
Wow, that was something else. Hopefully this season isn't a stoop considering Hank is in rehab. Surely he'll get out of rehab and start drinking again tongue.gif

Nice to see Marcy and Runkle back. Love their characters. An OK season opener, we'll see where this season goes.

Good episode last night, but very tame compared to other seasons. Maybe it's just tame because we're just starting the new season.

Loved the sex addict, her reactions and attitude was funny. Runkle turning gay to get the new client was good. Karen being stoned at her interview was good. Thankfully she got employment, even though she was making an ass out of herself.
You wonder if they will tone it down for Hank . Im glad he at least considered his actions in part on the death of his Ex. Still Runkle being welcomed to the "mafia" good stuff smile.gif

That was a unique use of The Good Book...eek.gif

So is Maggie Grace going to play Hank's "squeeze" this season?

It certainly got my interest "perked"...

I don't recall Shannon from Lost looking this hot! Clearly, she was mis-utilized.

Runkle! That whole restaurant scene was funny. Runkle's new boss is a hoot, his gestures crack me up. His new boss is played by Lee Arenberg, don't know his character (casting?) name though.

The rock & roll wedding was interesting. All the drinking going on, and all the rocker's attending. Hank getting "serviced" behind the bushes while Faith was right there was good. Thankfully Faith did not mind that much.

I'm not drinking until February 15th, and all (most) TV shows show lots of drinking eek.gif
Must be nice. lol

Last night she said she has a" project". She is a Muse if you will. I think Hank is about to write a new novel or script.

I have watched Caifornication since it started, except for one season while I was taking a hiatus from Showtime. For some reason, though, I haven't posted to this thread until now.

This season has been great. Loved the rocker who had been the dead rocker's best friend. He was a hoot. Also loved the weird and horny widow. And Maggie Grace has always appealed to me. Why I find the irredeemably spoiled and immature Hank funny and appealing is anybody's guess but he does make me howl. Finally, Charlie's travails while claiming to his gay client that he also is gay have been wonderful. His scene in the men's room with the gay hustler had me rolling on the floor.

Might want to start drinking a little sooner...it was a funeral, not a wedding.

Ha. I'm on vacation this week too eek.gif
Somebody told me to enjoy my vacation and have a few drinks. I'm good, I don't want to ruin my goal.

Showtime renews "Shameless," "House of Lies," "Californication"
By Jessica Derschowitz / CBS News/ January 29, 2013, 3:20 PM

"Shameless," "House of Lies" and "Californication" are all set to return in 2014.

Showtime announced Tuesday that it is renewing its entire current Sunday night lineup for new seasons.

"'Californication,' 'House of Lies' and 'Shameless' possess highly distinctive comedic voices, and given that all three continue to grow their audience season after season -- the pick-up decision was easy," Showtime entertainment president David Nevins said in a statement. "I am incredibly excited to see what each of these series has in store for their next seasons."

The renewals mean "Shameless" will get a fourth season, "House of Lies" will get a third season and "Californication" will have a seventh.

All three series returned on Jan. 13 with their highest-rated episodes ever, Showtime said in the announcement. The third season of "Shameless "is up 22 percent (averaging 5.4 million weekly viewers across multiple platforms), the second season of "House of Lies" is up 10 percent (3.2 million) and the sixth season of "Californication" is up 21 percent (3.1 million).

Production on the new seasons will begin in Los Angeles later this year.

Not sure how I feel about this season. The plot seems to be shaping up to be a recycle of season two, Hank writing a bio of an indulgent rock star.
Still glad the show will be back next year as the dialogue is still biting-sharp, as well as watching poor Runkle get in ever more embarrassing situations...

I agree that the writing of Californication is still as great as ever. The dialog is pointed and funny, sometimes excruciatingly so. I give high marks to David Duchovny's performances, too. Hank is essentially a self indulgent loser who only a mother should love. Still, Duchovny breathes such humanity into the guy, I find myself rooting for him, although I know I should not.

Nothing better for an addict help recover than going to a big party where's tons of alcohol and drugs available.. LOL

Maggie Grace's body = WOW!
