Californication on SHO - Page 34

Nothing better for an addict help recover than going to a big party where's tons of alcohol and drugs available.. LOL

Maggie Grace's body = WOW!

That party showed the quintessential Hank. Where would a guy supposedly in recovery from narcotics, alcohol, and sex addiction go while on leave for the day from his treatment facility. Right, a wild rock and roll party featuring lots of booze, drugs, and beautiful naked women.smile.gif

I noticed the disclaimer at the end stating all actors engaged in explicit scenes were 18 at time of filming.  I honestly don't recall seeing that notice before.  Has it always been there and I missed it, or was this a first brought on by the specific episode?  I don't recall anything more "explicit" than usual for Californication.

They had to put it in due to the video of the gay porn scene Charlie was watching. Interestingly, there was another XXX movie scene that Charlie watched in a previous season (a girl-on-girl scene) and I don't remember seeing the disclaimer.

I love this show and have watched it from day 1 but I thought the rocker funeral episode was stupid. The dead rocker's wife was ridiculous.

The gay Charlie story line is great. I can't wait to see where this goes.

I was more shocked at seeing Steve Jones...looking like he swallowed an elephant!

Of course they didn't run any new episode this week nor of Shameless either. That's because Showtime is owned by CBS and they wanted your eyes on the Stupor Bowl. Not only that but HBO ran their new episodes of "Girls" and "Enlightened" late Saturday night.

Oh Runkle. It was going great until the end there. He sure was a trooper and not homophobic at all. Hank's old boss was very hot in bed, the way she was moving her body eek.gif
Loved how Runkle asked them if there was room for a 3rd. lol.

Marcy's speech to the men who bought them drinks was good. She went on a little rant there.

Feel like this season is still tame in terms of sex/nudity and wildness.

By the way, where is our fellow member pippytu? She (I think it was a lady) was really fun. pippytu had the biggest crush on Natascha McElhone. Miss that poster frown.gif

Finally got to see last week's Californication today and agree that it was really funny. I did jump when I saw your comment that the sexuality, nudeness, and wildness of this season's shows have fallen short of earlier years. I thought the scene in the bedroom involving Hank, the gorgeous blonde Hollywood operator, Charlie, and Charlie's gay client was incredibly raunchy and equally incredibly funny. Man, David Duchovny has made wasted insouciance an art form. Hank does not sweat the small stuff or for that matter, the big stuff either.smile.gif

gwsat,
I like your postings. You always contribute good posts smile.gif

I cringed when Runkle was being hit in the gut. Those punches seemed massive and looked like they hurt. Poor Runkle, his very expansion mansion and how he's unemployed.
Runkle was funny when he was by the pool-side, flirting with the topless woman.

The meeting with the drug dealer was a good scene. How he was emulating Hank's lingo.

Stu's male chastity piece looked wild eek.gif
Marcy's new feminist friend is up to no good. LOL

Good episode.

It was like a mini LOST reunion last night. Maggie Grace (Shannon) and Jorge Garcia (Hurley).

Air Force 69 was pretty lavish. Makes me wonder if actual planes are really like that.

Not enough Marcy and Stu in this episode.

The whole scene at the children's party center was hilarious. Especially the bathroom scene! eek.gif
The amateur milf website lady was really cute. Her whole goal of the scene was really dirty eek.gif

Gotta love Californication tongue.gif

This has not been one of their best seasons. The whole stupid-wasted-british-rock-star thing has taken up way too much screen time. I guess they have run out of ideas and have to now include "special guests." I can be fully satisfied with just hank, Karen, marcie and runkel.

I agree.

Hank was a little too honest about Becca's novel. He did speak the truth though, not lying about it. I guess sometimes honesty is always not the correct answer.

Loved Stu and Runkle teaming up to win Marcy back from the feminist. Runkle peeing his pants at the bar after being tased was hilarious. His line "Somebody pissed on my pants" so people wouldn't think he did it himself was gold.

While this show is supposed to be over the top. Both Stu and Runkle should have had that broad arrested for aggravated assault or even attempted murder. Tasers are only non-lethal most of the time. That's why not a law enforcement agencies are adopting them.
I have to wonder if the metal **** cage Stu is enduring worked at a conductor thereby avoiding much of the pain of a taser to the groin.

Good point I never even thought of that. Ha

I loved that the over the top feminiazi used the taser. The taser business simply proved that the woman is an insane zealot with the judgment of a cockroach. But she sure is funny.smile.gif Come to think of it, hardly anybody in Californication is just a little crazy.

That party looked like fun tongue.gif

Nice to see Eddie Nero back, dude is wild.

No Runkle, Marcy, or Stu this episode frown.gif

Faith's mom and dad were a hoot. Thank god I wasn't raised up in a religious household eek.gif
Faith's dream about Atticus as Jesus was a bit weird.

Seems like every Showtime show features pot smoking. Sorta makes me miss those days. ha

Depends where ya live! lol. And don't forget the blow....even shows without pot have that! (Except for THE BORGIAS, of course. But they have Absinthe!) Always good to see Mary Kay Place (Loretta from MARY HARTMAN MARY HARTMAN). Her and Dabney Coleman seem to have had the longest careers from that show.

She was a recurring character, a regular in some seasons, on HBO's 'Big Love' as well.

Bates! That guy is such a hoot, I laughed at almost every scene he was in. His amped up joyful and upbringing emotions are good, he's always so positive. Loved the "drug party" at the rehab clinic. Even the doctor got-in on it! eek.gif

Marcy and Runkle are getting married! Although, I'm not sure how well that's going to be. They seem to fight a lot, just like Hank and Karen.

Season finale next week, already. I don't want it to end. I doubt Karen is going to accept Hank's offer.
Good season finale. Hank, again falling for Karen.

It was cool how Becca told Hank she was smoking pot/high. I guess she did that because she couldn't be reprimanded and get in trouble tongue.gif

Congrats (again) for Runkle and Marcy getting hitched.

I think this show needs more Runkle and Stu, those dudes are a hoot!
Mostly agree that was a strong season finale. But in general I thought this was kind of a weak season. We got some good laughs with the whole Marcy + Ophelia plot, Runkle (who has been really sidelined this season) and Stu bonding together, etc. But the main plotline with Atticus Fitch was not strong at all, and frankly, Hank himself barely had anything to do this season -- it's almost like he was sidelined in the series about him.....

Agreed. Overall, not the best season.

Shots of the beautiful Maggie Grace in skimpy outfits and bare bottomed saved the season for me.
