Warranty Help Please

I would like to purchase the Samsung HLT5076S from Amazon. Its like 1347$ with free shipping and I don't think I can pass that price up. However, I keep hearing terrible things about their warranty at amazon. I want the TV at that price, but I would like to have a good warranty. Does anyone recommend go with the Amazon warranty or can you buy an extended warranty through someone else. If so, any suggestions and preferably one that replaces burned out bulbs (the Amazon warranty does NOT replace burned out bulbs). May be I could even get an extended through Samsung?

Also, am I making a mistake by not going for the new Samsung LED's? Thanks in advance.

actually just changed my mind completely, i will be getting a sony a2020 or a3000 instead due to the fact that samsungs pictures get warped easily due to the screen (i will be moving this tv alot because i will move several time over the next few years). However, my warranty question remains. Any help?

Sony has a great extended warrenty that you can purchase right before their year warrenty expires but it does not include a bulb coverage. Repair Master has a good 5 year warrenty you can get 90 days before the year warrenty expires and they have a bulb warrenty as well. Mack has a good extended warrenty as well but you have to get it within 30 days of purchase. I just got a Sony 2020 and LOVE IT!!! I myself Am either going with the Repair Master Combo or might do a combo of the Repair Master for bulbs and Sony for service.. Mack looks good but figure why have a bulb warrenty that also covers the first year when sony already does that. Figure would buy closer to the 90 days before the year is up to get more out of the bulb warrenty... Hope that helps. Look at the extended warrenty thread as well for more info...

Wow, thank you so much. That helps a ton. In fact that more than answered my question. I wanna do exactly what your doing, lol. My e-mail address is Imallvol7@aol.com. Please e-mail me with what you plan to do as you seem to know what you are doing. Thanks!
