Problem with those Aurelex solutions, they don't fit the footprint of the Phoenix. The Phoenix has down firing ports. If you don't have one of those "subdude" types of risers that are as big, or bigger, that all 4 corners of the feet can be supported, those ports will be blocked.
Regarding the "sold out" situation, Chad's operation is small. There are benefits to that. First, the design and manufacture of his products are very controlled, and managed by him. There's very little that goes wrong with his products, as a result.
The downside, and Chad seems to be OK with this, he builds what he can, until he runs out. The last time this happened, he took the hiatus to redesign all the subs before going back into production. Don't know if he'll do the same this time, as this generation of Eipk subs have been out less than a year. But, I could see him taking a breather and cranking back up after 2010 hits.
I know I would be more than willing to do that, given the chance, in my own work.
