Craigsub rated the Conquest 2nd in the test above the PB-13 which was third with the Epik Castle. Same musical score but the Conquest beat it in HT.
The PB-13 scored the same as the Epik Castle which at the time was the 3rd best sub in Epiks line, equal to the Phoenix now. The old Tower, your Dynasty now, would have beaten the pb13 as it went even lower than the castle but had the same music score as the Castle. Craig said in his review that the pb13 was just a bit more articulate than the Castle but the Castle beat it in the lower end and was more powerful and put out 2db more than the pb13.
Just some info from the guy who's new subs you are interested in and who has one of the best reputations in the sub business and community.
Sure the Submersive will beat it in most areas and should considering you are paying double the price for it. As far as the Danley, for $3000.00 it better beat it and my Conquest and the submersives at that price. Why stop there when you can spend $5000.00 for your sub and get better performance than the Danley. Its all relative to the performance to dollar ratio.
I am sorry you are disappointed with the Dynasty but to call it and the owners in this forum names and that we don't know what we are talking about sounds a bit like a temper tantrum to me and many owners have had the "other subs" and the pb13 but liked the Epiks better.
There are a few members who I would say are on the "bass expert" level, like craigsub, and have tried to help you. As I recall every time someone mentioned that you try your sub in a different place you wouldn't as this was were the pb13 worked best. But that doesn't mean its the spot for your Dynasty. Have you tried it different positions in your room yet? Doing this may help you get what you are looking for. Have you thought about getting an EQ for it? Doesn't the pb13 come with a EQ built in? That could also be part of the reason for the difference you are hearing.
Obviously you don't want the Dynasty so sell it, take your loss now, move on to another sub and thread along with your piss poor attitude and unwarranted
attacks on the members here.
If you want to talk about and see if you can get some help from some of the members we will be glad to try and help but insulting us will get you nothing.
I don't understand what you think that the Dynasty/Conquest has that the pb13 doesn't as I have a Conquest, set my Pops Dynasty up and have listened to it for quite a while and have heard the pb13 numerous times as it was on my list when shopping for a sub.
First off the Conquest outperforms the pb13 in all areas and has mid bass to spare in my home and set up. I can feel it on the other side of the house in my chest so that statement is crap.
Same goes for the Dynasty I set up for my Pop. Even in the front guest room, farthest point from the sub, it still punches you in the chest. It took six positions to find it but once we did it performs almost as well as my Conquest.
So that is all I have to say but it is disappointing to see you go from being frustrated to really enjoying it to this.
