Any THD numbers?

i really want to see how these compare to one another.. I'm guessing the lowest model would be plenty for my needs but if the high excursion driver puts out a lot more bass i may jump up to the castle.. I don't think i'd pay $200 more for a little bit bigger box but i'll pay $300 more for a better driver/amp combo.. Although thats a bit of a stretch too.. I'm sure the best value sub is the knight.

I just had a lengthy conversation with Chad, and look to get a subwoofer here for testing in the near future. I left it to Chad to pick out which he wants tested, and to email me his answer later today or tomorrow.

As soon as I get his answer, it will be posted.

Great,another company with what looks like very very solid performing subs! So many to buy now...so little space.

Looks like one large Epic,one SVS Ultra 13,one ED (dual 18") and the DefTech Trinity will have to be mine.

Why are we so pulled by subs...? These toys are sure a load of fun.

I had a great talk with Chad yesterday, what a cool dude and extremely passionate about building quality subs. I have to admit, the huge Conquest w/18" driver is calling my name and I may not be able to resist ordering one. I am finally realizing that to really feel the pressure from subsonics - the kind encoded on DVD's like WotW that properly reproduced will scare the crap out of you - a sub that can play in the deep teens at very high levels cleanly without port noise is required, so I am drooling over Tom Nousaine's in-room test number of 103.9db at 12.5hz with only 3.4% distortion The subs I have cannot even pretend to come close to that kind of performance...

I am by no means a Craigsub or TheEAR, but with a total now of 7 subwoofers on hand, many of which I had promised the wife many months ago would already be sold on eBay , I am in need of new excuses for any additional sub purchase..."But honey, some forum dude named Willy told me to buy it, I had no choice!"

I did not hear from Chad today, but I am sure he was pretty busy. He thinks the Castle @ $1199 is a good match for my PB-13 Ultra.

This is why we talked about getting one... then, should it work out that well, look for a few subs to get sold and a dual set of Conquests to take up residence here ...

Oh, okay. When you said "dual conquests will blow your mind", I got the impression you had heard them.

Who has measured your AVA sono?

Well we all know one thing, this is going to force subwoofer manufacturers to work extra hard to bring prices down .

Like some smaller sealed subs???

Sorry about the wait. In the next two days we will have updates on several things. It seems like every day that passes we are discovering more parts of this market that we can cater to online. With our ability to make a new cabinet design available overnight, it is very tempting to start running wild with ideas.

We built a pair of single sealed subwoofer cabinets that I am trying to make time to photograph and test. We even tried out a couple extra cabinet shapes/sizes to see what looked and performed best. The version that we built ended up being 16.5 inches wide and it seems to fit into rooms very well. Even a pair of them look more than reasonable.

Like I said, updates will be up soon. One update should make everybody VERY happy...

I am real close to cancelling my order of the eD A5-350 an just going all out and getting the Conquest. It just might be the end of all subs.

Ah ha Ssabripo is estimating,deducting based on his subs...this is valid IMO.

I can guess...estimate pretty much any sub on the market based only on specs(providing they are accurate).Knowing todays top of the line subs are quite linear and add little colorations...the output and linearity offer a very clear picture of the performance.

A single 18" with a 3" P to P in a ported cabinet = massive output down to tuning point.

Soon I have a feeling ground will shake...even more.

I have a strong feeling this company will make our other internet-only companies readjust their pricing structure if all the 'claims' fall into place.


I'm sure one of these three rules apply:
1. They have brilliant engineers who have figured out the perfect driver, for the perfect box, with the perfect amount of amplification.
2. The margins are becoming smaller and smaller.
3. They plan to STAY.
