My Conquest order was placed yesterday and if all goes well it could be shipping as soon as this Friday. To say my expectations are riding high on this monster is putting it mildly...if it is as capable as Chad says and Nousaine's tests hint at, I just may have finally found THE sub to enable a perma-grin

If you are contemplating ordering the Conquest, I urge you to contact Chad ASAP - what he has to reveal will probably put you over the edge as it did with me

There ain't no apeasin' goin on in this house Actually, I gently explained how one Conquest would perform as well as two stacked subs by another brand yet would only cost barely more than one of those other subs, and that seemed to click with her CPA brain But I had to renew my promise to eBay/Audiogon every electronic thing that is not going to be used in the new media room

I'm wondering how the heck the fixture with the pictures above the tv holds up.. In fact, i'm wondering how the tv even stays on the wall. Damn those are big

HOLY MOLY THOSE SUBS ARE HUGE. What SPL numbers are you getting from them!??!?!

As an aside it makes me laugh when I see those HUMONGOUS subs and a 50 inch plasma tv. COME ON - you guys know you want that 106 inch widescreen projection setup .

yeah, they are pretty insane. Pics hold up just fine, but the windows is another story I'm breaking 120dB's at seat without a sweat. Plenty of info/pics/measurements in the build thread:

there is not a single projector, Runco's new 3set $30K included, that will match the overall PQ of a Pioneer Elite plasma. When they start making a 65" or 75" pioneer Elite, at sub $5k prices, I'm on it like white on rice........for now, at my seating position of 8ft, this Elite does more than plenty while giving unmatchable picture quality.



Ross.....you best to have your camera, laptop and mic (plus REW), and everything ready for when you get this badboy. Don't be waiting a week or so to report back!

Not to stray too far off topic, but I hope you've seen a really good front projection setup. (not something in a showroom or someone's latest $1000 big box store projector)

I've yet to see ANY plasma or LCD at ANY size that can touch the overall pic quality my NECXG CRT can put out. Considering the screen is much larger at approx 100" that's something. And all HD resolutions natively displayed even 1080p. About the only thing I could say the plasma has is superior brightness.

we can take this offline for sure .

but yes, I've seen a $100K dedicated HT room with a Runco's latest, fully calibrated.....it will not hold a candle to say, Pioneer's new KURO line. Sorry. I've helped install and calibrate several projectors, and they have their pros (size, wow factor, etc).

I do video related work (designing codecs, algorithms, etc) all day everyday here at work......precision, accuracy is key for me. Unless you watch your display AT ALL TIMES in a completely dark room, this is simply no match.

Same here (high-end video scalars, etc.), but I definately will take a large projected screen at lesser quality over a high quality plasma, every single time...

Oh.. and ross... the only thing better than one Conquest is... TWO! Doooo iiiiitttt!

Did you see the guy that has the eD A7-900 with like a 30inch 4x3 Sony tv? That kind of made me scratch my head. I don't want to offend anyone but I would get myself a decent tv before getting a $2000 sub.

I guess thats not fair to assume. Maybe he just likes audio more than video. Either way I am jealous. I want an A7-900.

We put up a small update on our blog about the first new sealed subwoofer offering which will be available on Monday along with the Conquest. We also hinted at revealing our "real" prices, which will be up by the weekend. It is very exciting.

Did the same with with my other audio company when it started. We posted higher prices for the first month or so and then dropped them down to the real prices. (All customers who purchased products have already received a refund for the difference, which is great...) It makes our competitors angry, but our customers seem to really like it...

And yes, the Conquest is officially only $1599.

This is getting interesting.

I wonder what highly regarded $3500 sealed subwoofer you are targeting with the Valor ????

Yup. $1599. What is the point if the Conquest performs great, but nobody can afford it or get/fit one in their house? I want people to actually own these subwoofers and enjoy them, not talk about them and compare specs. That is very important to us.

The rest of the products will follow suit. The prices are incredible. We talk about the advantages of in-house production all over our website. Well, it is time you finally see what that advantage offers you in addition to performance and quality. Like I said before, it is really exciting!!

I am looking for a shootout between the Epik Tower and the SVS PB13 Ultra now. It will be interesting as how the Tower will sound for both music and home theater. As for price and performance, the JL is around 3 grand, the SVS is 1500 and performs about the same. Now if the Epik is similar in performance as the SVS and JL for about $1200, I think Epik will be the new leader. After all aren't we all looking for the best or equal performance at a competitive price? I will be looking forward to Craigsub putting the Epik products through his grulling test and how they will both hold up and perform. Looks like Craigsub has got alot of work ahead of him.
