i missed out too. did end up speaking with the owner who said it'll be months before he gets any more legends available...and he won't take back orders, and wont honor the $399 price...it's my own fault, but now I'll just settle for the Klipsch when its back in stock on new egg

I am also in the same boat, got email on 11/29/12 with tracking no and shipping date of 11/30/12 still no information on Fedex site for my tracking numbers.confused.gif

Update: Just checked the Fedex website, it shows as scheduled to deliver on Dec 4 with status=Initiated.

The tracking probably just means label was purchased but not necessarily dropped off.

I know how you feel. I contacted Chad directly about some Conquest grill accessories and was told he would contact me when he gets around to it. That was seven months ago along with three reminder emails confused.gif
post #18817 of 19475
He is a very busy guy right now. Conquest grills accessories are
probably very hard for him to find. I believe he would
have responded by sending the Conquest grill accessories if he
had them.

He has little help, and gets tons of emails, and calls.
Needs to hire another person to help him with
customer service.

I agree. I am not trying to create any waves, but I have a non-working Empire in my theater room that would be better served as a boat anchor. Regarding agressiveness, I have left several messages and sent several emails (all very polite). I am not angry about it- I believe he is pretty busy. He makes a great product. I just want to get this thing fixed.

Mine still hasn't shipped frown.gif. If It hasn't shipped by EOD tomorrow, i'll have to go through the process of contacting them. From reading many posts, this may not be much fun.

I received a tracking # that said info was transmitted to Fedex Friday, with an expected delivery date of today but there has not been any updates since, so I don't even know it has been picked up yet. Kidhorn, did you get a tracking #?

When FedEx is really busy (like now) it's not uncommon for their tracking to not work too well. My guess is you'll see an update soon.

You can call them.

bologna...their tracking system is all automated, and doesn't care how many pieces are flying through the system or how busy they are. if the tracking# hasn't updated within a few days i would say there is some issue.

I'm speaking from personal experience. I do A LOT of orders that are shipped via FedEx, probably 50 a month and more around the Holidays (for business). I've seen tracking numbers that say that the package data was transmitted to FedEx, and stay that way, then all of a sudden it was delivered and the status never changed until later that day.

Of course the tracking system is all automated like you say...but they're all ran by programs and servers and they tend to not perform as well under heavy loads and problems do happen. There may be a problem with the package but there may not be.

I got a tracking number and when I go to fedex to view it it says 'Shipment information sent to FedEx'. I think this means the label was printed but it hasn't been picked up yet.

The Fedex site is always very responsive when I hit it. I find it unlikely a company that's in the package delivery business wouldn't have a system of keeping track of all packages at all times.

I think the issue is Epik is shipping out packages at a slower rate then they're taking in orders. Subwoofers are big and there may be a limit on how many the pickup van\truck can carry in a single visit.

It's very possible that it hasn't been shipped out yet...but it's also possible that the tracking for FedEx is screwed up on this package. Like I said in my previous reply...I'VE SEEN IT HAPPEN BEFORE. When you say the website is responsive...the same server that serves the website isn't the servers that run the tracking system. I'm also 99% sure they don't host their website. Large companies don't serve their own websites. They just provide the company data to them.

No worries. globalgreg is correct in everything he has said. You may not get an update until it is delivered. Doesnt mean its not moving.

That is almost certainly the case.

Most likely that FedEx has already been there to pick up and they are preparing orders to be picked up tomorrow.

Depends on which few days. If it is the weekend it would be pretty common. If during the week it could be that they are driving it from one hub to another. If thats CA to NY then you would not get an update for a few days. It only updates when they scan it. They aren't going to scan everything in the back of the truck at the end of every day. Only when they load and unload.

I wanted to get one of these but hesitated, I bought an eD sub a couple years ago and now I am stuck without a warranty or anything. Epik honestly scares me similar patterns, high demand ID company with good value and communication / service problems. I posted exactly on this issue a while before eD went under and stated that bad customer service is a negative feed back look, the more you do not answer emails and phone calls, the more they start piling up, you now have to sort through 5 emails because you never responded to that guy the first time. Then things start going wrong, like people start doing chargebacks and such. So I guess the warning goes out again to Epik, if your going to survive get your ducks in a row. And yes that means you gotta hire more people because you cant do it all yourself.

I was thinking the same thing. I ordered a Legend anyway. The worst that will happen is the amp will fail and I won't get a replacement. I'll have to buy a replacement amp on my own. I don't know the exact amp used, but I could likely find a similar amp for $150 or less. I would be out another $150. Not the end of the world.

Thats like buying a car knowing the engine will fail, but its ok, because replacing an engine is only around 5-10k whereas the car was 20k smile.gif
