So far so good. I was and up and running in a few minutes. Very BIG sub, but easily manageable as it doesn't weigh a ton. Actually pretty light given its size. Running a 2 meter Audioquest Sub-3 from my Onkyo 906 to the Dynasty with no hum or noise issues. No turn on pops, thumps, or clicks. No circuit breakers tripping etc.
Did a quick level calibration, running a few dB hot. Started with Black Hawk Down Blu-ray uncompressed PCM via HDMI from my Pioneer Elite BDP-09.
So far very impressed. The sub is not even working hard at all and pressurizing my 2900 cubic foot room with no problem. "Irene" scene was pretty mind blowing. No localization of the sub at all and the bass has good impact and articulation and digs down DEEP with no effort at all. No port noise so far.
Previous subs included Velodyne DD-18, two Vandersteen 2WQs, and VMPS Larger. I don't think Chad was exaggerating when he said the Dynasty has the output of four DD-18s. It sure feels like it. Also had Vandersteen 5As and Evolution Acoustics MM3s in my room which both have built-in subwoofers.
Initial impressions are very positive so far. The sub did suffer some minor shipping damage which Chad is taking care of.
These are very early impressions.................
Tried to attach a few pictures and I'm having problems Will try again in a bit.
