Not a Garbage fan, so maybe I'm missing something - but I don't really see her "increasing the hotness factor".

I admit, I'm not up on any of the music scene, but I did see this interview on youtube and I think she'll be just fine.

I see, just like Sean Connery.

That Youtube video looks much better, she looks like she's in her 40s in that previously posted photo (not that there's anything wrong with that).

For the record, Shirley will be 42 in August.

Good God, that's my age!

She's far too old to be eye candy.

+1 ... someone's setting the bar fairly low.

Whatever. Shirley rocks and I can't wait to see her act. I always thought she'd be a good actress, and now I guess we'll get to find out.

Hence the birth of the term "Dirty Old Man"

.. & to think the woman who plays Col. Tigh's Wife on BSG is only 3 or 4 years older than her ....

Here's one more Garbage fan who is also pleased with this news.
wow!

I just ordered the blu ray for season 1. I can't wait to see Shirley in the show.

There was a commercial just before House and there's more confirmation about season 2 of SCC. Woo Hoo!! It had

Sarah telling John "We have to kill her!" and Cameron pointing a gun (at them supposedly).

with the announcer saying Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles this fall on Fox. Woo hoo!! again. Guess Cameron didn't die in the explosion after all.

For those interested, there is a new direcTV commercial movie parody, this time of Terminator 2.

Spoilers! Haha ok just kidding. Anyway, Robert Patrick as the T1000 reprises the scene where he steals the helicopter, and claims he's not trying to kill John Connor, but watch his direcTV.
I didn't think the show was all that good but watched it anyway for lack of anything else on(writers strike and all). But I'll give it another look in the fall.

Also "given away" in TV Guide. Not that it's a surprise.

As weak-minded as it may make me appear, I confess that I am looking forward to Season Two. Season One looked good and I thought that Lena Headey was the spunkiest mama from the future since Linda Hamilton.

Why? It ain't LOST, granted, but it ain't 'Bionic Woman' either. Just good popcorn entertainment and one of the few remaining true serial dramas out there. No shame in being a fan of this show; not like 'Two and a Half Men' or something.

Exactly. TSCC, while not as intelligently written nor believable as Prison Break...is still a solid show.

Not only do I believe TSCC is more intelligently written than Prison Break (Season 2), despite the fact it is about time travelling robots, I also find it more believable.

PB doesn't have time travelling robots?????

No, but in fairness, T-bag does have a bionic hand. And Michael's facial expressions & acting style could be classified as a bit...well... robotic. I'm trying to work with you here.

No, it's the Fox audience that's stuck in a temporal anomaly, being forced to watch the same overblown Prison Break commercial once every 12.6 minutes over and over and over again until the end of days when robots finally come to rule Earth.

Reminds me of an argument of sorts I used to have w/ an old g/f. She loved 90210. I used to make fun of that show & her love of it, saying..."you know, it's remotely possible that life in the distant future might be like STAR TREK, wheras life in any time period WILL NEVER BE LIKE BEV HILLS 90210!!"

While I do enjoy PB, it is quite far from believable. There are comic book movies more "realistic" than PB. And despite the whole time travel/paradox business that has been an issue with every TERMINATOR story, the leaps in logic during an ep of TSCC are tiny hops compared to some of the jumps one must make during a season of PB.

That said, I look forward to the return of both shows.
