When I had the Vizio it looked very good. The HD picture popped off the screen and was alive. Only problem was reliability. I liked the pop of the picture. Vizio is wayyy better than Samsung for picture quality.
Panasonic is a very good plasma. I love it. It is better than my old Vizio in many ways. The blacks are darker, the colors are deep. Panasonic has many better features, like better strech (just mode), better SD play, too much to list.
Samsung looked good to me from 10 feet away, but at first I never paid attention to them. When I finally got up close to a Samsung and looked at it for a long time, I noticed that the picture appears to flicker like it is interlaced, and moving text on the screen wabbled badly.
