Another warranty thread for DLP

I originally purchased a warranty thru Frys for 209 that covers 1 bulb replacement during 5 years.

I was looking at the mack warranties and 2 bulb replacements within first 3 years for 200 along with tv warranty.

Which is the better option for me?Should i return the frys plan and buy the mack?I still have like 13 days or so within the first 30 days.

How long do bulbs last? I have a mitsubishi WD-57733.

How long they last depends on hours of use/day, the frequency of turning it on, and luck of the draw (some bulbs last for years, and others burn out prematurely). I'm still on my 1st bulb on a 4-year-old DLP. For the same price, I'd go with the 5-year over the 3-year EW since the light engine, color wheel, and digital boards are very expensive to fix, compared with an extra bulb replacement.

well the bulb replacement is 3 years, the rest of the tv is 3 years after manufacturer warranty ends, which i assume is 1 year (so 4 years total)
