no suggestions?

I haven't heard the eD, so any suggestion coming from me would be that I just bought the HSU and it sounds amazing. So there, completely biased "help".

Sorry, didn't want your thread to be empty.

Well I have been really researching and looking at the sub market over the past year or so. I have especailly been following both HSU and eD subs. I am finally in the position to pick up one of these subs in fact I am placing the order today. I decided to go the eD route. A couple of reasons. One, you should just scrap looking at the A5-300. They are now building the A5-350 which is using a 15 inch sub. Bigger box and two 4 inch aero ports. Same 550 watt amp as the 300. The A5-300 is a 12 inch driver smaller box and only one 4 inch port. You get all of this for only $600 delivered. The HSU is I think $699+$100 shipping. So thats nearly $200 more than the eD. I am sure the eD will out perform the HSU. But that is just simply my opinion and of course without hearing the two in a comparison, I am just assuming. But I will be the owner of one of the eD subs in the next 2-3 weeks. Will report back with my input.

Please do report back with your impressions of the A5-350. I'm also trying to decide between the two.

I have no doubt the ED sounds great, I own a HSU 3.3 and can't imagine a better sub. My guess is the performance of these two would be more similar than different.
