FF/REW in VMC

I am using FFdshow in VMC for my DVD decoding, upscaling and post pocessing. The DVDs look incredible, but when they are upscaled the FF/REW functions lock up the computer. When pressed the film willl advance or rewind at an incredible rate until VMC crashes. This is the last bug I have to work out so VMC will be working flawlessly, but I cant figure it out on my own. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

P.S. Let me know what if any additional information is needed to solve this problem.
