Alright, here's my problem. When I hook my z-2300 2.1 speakers up to my new samsung ln t375H lcd tv, I can't control the speakers with the tv remote. The speakers themselves didn't come with a typical remote control (only the wired one which you have to adjust by turning the nob). Problem is, most tvs have an option that allows me to control the speakers with the tv's remote. The samsung does not.
I thought I had found a solution when I plugged the speakers into the headphone jack on the tv. This actually allowed me to control the speakers with the tv's remote (in addition to the nob on the speaker control itself, of course). However, when I turned the tv off and then on again, the tv reverted to its own speakers instead of the z-2300s, even though they were still plugged in through the headphone jack. I have to unplug the speakers and then plug them back in every time I turn the tv back on in order to get the sound coming through the 2.1s. Is this normal, or a glitch on the tv's part?
Are there remotes to control audio devices that don't have wireless remotes to begin with? I would prefer not to have to buy a receiver (I don't know if that would even work) for a 2.1 audio system. If I were to buy a receiver, it would only make sense for a 5.1 or above system. Someone please help!
