I have a Toshiba 57HDX82 and just got a PS3. I have hooked it up with component cables. However, when I play a game (games output at 720p) the top and bottom are getting cut off. When I try to change picture size, it says not available.
When I play a Blue-ray DVD, the output is coming at 1080i (the most my TV can support) and I think I am fine here. I dont see the edges getting cut off. I also have 1080i output from my HD cable box also connected through component cables and the screen looks fine - when I watch NFL network HD - the scroller at the bottom are coming in fine and things are not getting cut off.
Does anyone know what may be causing the problem only with PS3 games? Is there something I can adjust on the tv only for 720p? Thanks in advance for any help.
