The sub will be in the front corner-could move a box in front facing out, I know they are spec'd the same...just wonder if they will feel the same in the HT environment? Room size is 16'x25'x8'.

From what I have read..the diff between the two would be very, very difficult to pick up. My undestanding is that the PB digs a bit deeper and a tad louder but not enough to really recognize it. The finish alone on the PB's makes them so much more appealing....and this is coming from a previous PC12 Ultra owner. The PC's are much nicer in person but the PB's are simply gorgeous.

Thinking that the wife will not be hauling this thing into the house with me this time. By far...the heaviest sub we've ever owned!!!!

according to the SVS website the box is 165 lbs naked.

I hope your wife has been working out, definitely a 2 person job moving that beast around. My back still hurts

She just laughed at me when I told her the boxed weight. Not happening!
Need a friend for sure.

Wonderful! So it's 10lbs. heavier naked than we thought.

The next product SVS should come out with is some anti gravity pads.

Nope. It's 155 lbs on the PB13-Ultra page.

Look here .

I'm also curious as to the exact height of the PB13 from the carpet to the top. The SVS site says 22 inches, but I wonder if this includes the feet. Can any owners post the exact height including the feet?

I have some window shades hanging down to around 22.5 inches, and I'm hoping to be able to slide the sub under them without them resting on the top.

Mine should be shipping out tomorrow.
Mine measures exactly 22" from the top of the carpet. The little rubber feet are very small.

Thanks; that's good to hear. It should still fit in the same place I have my much smaller SuperCube 1 right now. Hopefully that unit will be up on ebay in a week or so . . .

Delivered 2 hours ago. Spent about 30 minutes working the thing into the house but thankfully I picked up some of those furniture sliders. Without them it would have been a royal pain in the ass to get in without another person. I like to pretend I'm a body builder - but a reality check hits you like a kick in the teeth when you try to move a huge sub that weighs more than you...

Anyway, I thought this sub was huge...I even layed out some crap on the floor to get an idea of how big it actually was. None of that really prepared me for the size of this thing, hehe. Now I get to calibrate it later tonight and run through some tests. Can't wait!!

OK- So I have been checking the sub section out on quite a few sites including this one. Came down to either the SVS PB13 or PC 13. I just ordered a PB13...can't wait to get it delivered and set-up....good thing I lift some weights, sounds like I need some muscle to lift the monster.
Yea man, you'll need some muscle to move this badboy. Do yourself a favor and pick up some furniture sliders if you don't have them already.

On a side note, that scene in the Hulk with the sound blaster gun (whatever the hell it's called) is absolutely insane. There's one part right when they start going off that the movie goes in somewhat slo-mo and the sub just rocks out 2-3 of these really low hammering bass notes. Can't really hear it, but holy hell, you can feel it. I cranked it up a bit and you could hear what sounded like someone walking in the room upstairs. Hard to describe I guess. Man this thing rocks!

I also picked up Cloverfield today and I'm planning on rattling more drywall in the house this weekend.

Sounds like you are enjoying the sub. Cannot wait to get mine set-up...watch a lot of blu-rays and hd....will probably have to go back in inventory and watch all over again with the new sub. Currently have a klipsch 12" with my Aperion 6T, 6C, and 4 surrounds.

Sweet

I loved Cloverfield, as soon as it start's playing they have those 4-5 low notes, window rattlers for sure, then the boring ass apartment scene, then it gets fun again. I got Flight of the Phoenix and Master & Commander: The Far Side of the World waiting for this weekend.

As crazy as this sounds, I am thinking about dropping the sub level down a tad, the KFP skidoosh scene was intense to say the least. Might go from 77db to 75, and see how I like it.

Well, my piano gloss Ultra shipped out yesterday; it is now somewhere in Southern Michigan. Once it gets to the Mackinac Bridge, it will be halfway here. I'm sure I will be the only one in the 49913 zip code area with one of these in my house.

I saw a map somewhere (I think it was a link from a posting in the general SVS owners thread) that showed where Ultra owners in the USA, and the rest of the world were located. I didn't see any in Michigan's U.P., so maybe that'll be a first as well.

We have 130 inches of snow on the ground so far this winter, and about 10 of it fell last night, so I hope it doesn't get windy on Monday or Tuesday when the delivery truck is in my area . . .

BAX delivered mine about 3 hours ago. Called a close friend who lives nearby for some help and I just her set up and plugged in. Man this thing is a beast. Amazingly the Rosenut is an awesome match with my av123 Rockets. Pics soon..promise.

I am now a little more pissed. Got the projector back and they claim there is nothing wrong. BUT clearly I can see color blobs no matter what I do. Even just running and not connected you can see them. I know they didn't test it in a pitch black environment like I use it in.

Next step is to just use it for now so I can enjoy my theater, but I'm calling Mitsubishi this weekend about this.

D.Rowe-How is the new sub doing? Mine is on the way to Michigan....not too far to travel

So far so good. The Rosenut is gorgeous...even moreso in person. I've got it in the front right corner of our HT, plugged in, middle port plugged, set to 15Hz setting, got to listen to a couple of quick clips but kids and big football game are limiting my listening tonight.

Honestly....I can already tell this is one hell of a sub. You will not be disappointed...trust me!!!!!

WHat are you replacing with your PB13?
A Klipsch 12" powered sub...I'm afraid it will not be any competition to the svs.

My Ultra13 arrived today to Portland OR.
BAX saying they going to deliver it at Monday.
Not sure I want to wait till Monday + it may stay in a driveway as nobody will be home.
Note sure I like it, especially if there some rain.Consider to drive tomorrow and pick it up. Drive about 35 min.

Make the drive, it will be well worth it.

I can drive 35 minutes with my eyes closed. I do it every day. Sure it's worth it. BAX won't leave it without a signature.

My Ultra arrived in town on Dec. 23rd., then it sat there for another day while I waited for the delivery guy to phone.
Enough of this bs waiting, and picked it up myself. These folks just didn't know how important it is to have a sub!

But it was worth the wait!

Very cool to see all these new owner posts, hopefully it's an indication SVS is doing well, with the wonderful support you get, not to mention their killer products, you can only wish them the best.

Last night a friend loaned me Finding Nemo and told me to check out the scene where the kid knocks on the fish tank. It's so wonderful and rare when a product brings a huge smile to your face, and that's exactly what that scene did. Something about windows rattling that is very comforting, euphoric, not sure what word to use here It's not the skidoosh scene but nonetheless check it out if your a new owner, I am sure the veterans already know all about these type scenes

I think I am going to seriously have to rent every movie I have seen, the difference with this sub is night and day.
