Enjoy and congrats on an amazing piece of gear!
Advice taken, thx. Already moved the Energy to my bedroom. On another note...
My room is 17X16X8, Im still waiting for my SPL meter in the mail so Ive made some rudimentary adjustments. I have the SVS in the corner diagonally with the Driver facing me on an angle (i.e its not parallel to the 2 walls of the corner)
Its about 8 feet away from me.
Unfortunately this is the only place i can put this Sub, other option would be in the corner parallel to the 2 corner walls, but then my driver would be firing straight into the side armchair which I dont want.
As this is my first day with my PB Ultra 13 ( Man its HUGE! ) Alot of the settings are gibberish to me at this point.
Ive set the gain to -10db Subwoofer Tune 20hz and Room Comp disabled along with High Pass Low Pass and PEQ all disabled.
I ran YPAO on the Yamaha and its set the Sub to -4.5db on the receiver.
Is my gain setting on the sub at -10db too much ? Ive left Phase at 0. I did bump up the gain manually on the receiver to -1.5db for a bit of extra kick.
Watched the sock detonation on Monsters Inc...was awesome ! When I get my spl meter and REW setup I hope to tweak it a bit more.
My biggest problem is my room. It really isnt theater material but I have to make do. The windows rattle like mad when the SVS is thumping :-)
Anyways TLDR : 1 Is having the gain at -10db normal in a 17x16x8 size room? 2. I might be needing alot of help from you experts later with "dialing in " this baby :-)
