I've been lurking this forum for a while, going back through endless pages of threads looking for information on the myriad different receiver choices out there as I prepare to purchase this fall.
One of the bigger features for me and my setup is the ability of the receiver to take component video (or whatever else I plug into the receiver) input and output video via HDMI to my projector. It seems to be one of the more confusing topics out there, what with upscaling, "passthrough", etc., and it's not alway entirely clear when reading reviews or threads on these receivers if the product actually does this. Throw in all the other features and it becomes harder and harder to have a reference point to compare each.
Is there a list somewhere of receivers capable of doing this? If not, would I be the only one interested in trying to create a running list that can be easily referred to for others trying to organize their thoughts before plunking down serious money?
