Blockbuster has a new HD media survey

Thread Starter
If you're a Blockbuster on-line member, they just sent a new survey via email. This one is specific to HD media (Blu-Ray, HD DVD)

With BBuster's recent BR support. Let's make sure we send them a message with this survey.

I haven't got one yet. I wanna let them know that I will be cancelling my online membership as well as my instore membership if they don't support HD DVD as well.

^Make copies of the survey and hand them out to HD DVD supporters -- I kid, I kid.
I haven't got any such e-mail, but if I do I will be sure to fill it out. Their HD DVD inventory sucks! Although they did send me Disturbia and TMNT just the other day, but I have been waiting for 300 and Hot Fuzz.

If anyone comes into this thread and rents HD DVD movies fill out the survey and complain. The more complaints the better off we may be in the future!

Can't they gather enough data by looking at everyone's rental queues?
Not really because they would not be able to gauge people's desires by what they have rented. If blockbuster didnt' have the item kinda one sided argument.

Haven't gotten one as well. Typical blockbuster.

What i hate about blockbuster, is the constant harrasment i get from the manager and employees every time i rent a hd dvd movie , it is like they are laughing at me. I always get , hd dvd is dead, we will not be carrying it anymore, it is not popular.

I just gave the manager a mouthful the other day. I told him how can it be popular when you newest move is V for vendetta , six months old. THey never add any new movies in the store. I always complain, how can i take advantage of instore exchange, when they don't have any movies hd, which is all that i rent. the manager didn't even know hd dvd was 1080p, and that is was region free. I told him about MPEG4 and MPEG 2, and he almost had a heart attack. Add to that that you need a new BD player to play new titles, as the software is being revised, i think he turned purple. Top that off with i want to watch HOt fuzz, and Bourne IDentity, is it on Blue ray, nOt , only on HD DVD. I walked out of the store with a big smile, everyone in line was amuzed. Too much misinformation, add to that we are giving them money and they are dissing the product we are paying for in a company that is losing $50 million per quarter , figure that. My other blockbuster is shut down, closed on Overland and 10 Fwy. Don't they get the picture.

Online is a little better, at least we get the movies, they need to improve their quee. Wait till i get that survey, i will make sure the ceo will read it.

Proud trooper for Hd dvd , always supporting our favorite format, the best format

waiting for my survey - I hope it will be in essay form

No survey here. They probably don't send to customers renting hd dvd. Then they can put out these headlines of how they've made great business decicions. Whatever.

Nope, no survey for me.
No survey here either, but I've been voting with my feet, er, I mean I have bunches of HD-DVDs in my queue!

I did notice just last night that there are many new HD-DVD releases available, though I DID have to penetrate one level further into their heirarchy to get to HD-DVDs. Have to select "Collections" first vs. Blu-Ray which is at the top level of their heirarchy. Favoritism? No sh...ucks!

Way to go, giving out false information and all. You do not need a new BD player to play any of the newer movies. All the movies play fine, only some extra features will require new players in the future (that hasn't even happened yet). All extra features have worked so far in my gen 1 Samsung BD player although, some are extremely slow at a loading (that stupid game on POTC 2). I mean slow enough to go eat dinner and it has still not loaded slow. I'm all for educating others about the formats but, giving out false info to those who already have enough false info doesn't help any one.

Oh yea, I have not received a survey from BBO either.

You think they would have sent that out before they went exclusive!
Too bad they don't send this survey via mail....I could use some more toilet paper.

Blockbuster has never cared about their customers, and they wonder why they keep loosing money. If they had any real competition they would be gone and forgotten a long time ago.

copy the email and post it on here with a reply address so we can just send it anyway

No survey for me either. Definitely post it if you get it, because my rental queue is full of HD DVD. I think you are mistaken. As has been said before, the BD exclusive deal was made behind closed doors to push BD on consumers by the owners of Viacom-Paramount-Blockbuster. And rememebr that Sony still owns a big interest in BB. This deal is even more important if public opinion favors HD DVD. I doubt they want any such feedback. Oh, here's a thought: They are sending the survey only to customer's who's queues are full of BD!

I never got the survey. They probably didn't send me one because of my complaints about them not sending me out movies until a month after the release date.
