I just hooked up XM(Who I thought always took a hit because of howard, but their music stinks too)to an xm ready receiver i bought and it just occured to me....I have an account with sirius for my car radio,I own a laptop,I own a xbox 360.Can't I get rid of XM and stream sirius from laptop to 360?Anybody done this?Anything extra needed?

I do not think you can stream Sirius to the Xbox. You can hook up your PC to your stereo system and do it that way, but I've never seen anything to do it on the 360. At the risk of sounding like a commercial (been talking about Sonos alot lately)... Currently I stream it thru my Sonos system - works awesome.

Definitely not cheap... however it actually becomes very cost effective if your alternative is running new wires everywhere... and it gives a much higher level of flexibility and functionality.

Ironically enough, you can ditch XM and get XM Online Only for $7.99 and use that on your XBOX360 with Media Center.

I can vouch for this. I've run Sonos in my house for over a year now, and Sirius for quite a while. Not only is the Sonos great, but the addition of Sirius streaming is quite cool.

(hey, dstrack - JL here ;-)

If you want FM without the commercials, then XM probably isn't for you unless you listen to Top Tracks or one of the other hit stations. I think XM appeals to those who are not big top 40 fans.
