Anyone else's XBOX 360 DVD drive loud when they open/close it?

I just got my replacement Elite from BB after my first one quit working. I noticed the dvd drive is pretty quiet overall when playing games now. You can still hear it but it is definitely less noticeable. My question was about the opening and closing of the drive. It is a lot louder than my old elite and almost seems to have a force behind it (opens really fast) when it opens/closes. It isn't a big deal but I was wondering if anyone else experienced this? I have the new Elite with the extra heat sink and BenQ drive. Thanks in advance.

You have got to be kidding me

Some of you are just waayyy to sensative. You ever notice the sound you make when you close your trunk of your car?

My launch console dvd tray opened and closed nice. My new system. It opens ok. But slams when you close it. Everything works fine though.

Mine clunks pretty hard when it opens and closes. Nothing to worry about if you ask me.

LOL! I have been through 8 (yes 8 consoles and no I haven't abused them) of these suckers so I have started to become a little paranoid .

My tray refused to open alot of times when my replacement unit was vertical, now it works fine when it lays flat but it sounds like the anchor chain going up and down on a WW2 battleship

I'm guessing one of the tray gears slipped or no longer functions, but I dont know how the 360 drive looks interally so I'm not bothering to wager a guess.

My tray only refuses to open when attempting to insert Rumble Roses. Wonder why....

My tray is unbearably loud in all respects (opening, closing, reading etc). I really wish I could get a semi-silent Xbox 360.
