From looking at that list it looks like the sale is over (or at least a sale).

I think I got everything I really cared about while the window was open. There were a couple I was debating, but the price increase is an effective way to end the debate !

That FYE rebate and coupon sale is pretty good, though it takes time to get the rebate cash back in your pocket!

Fortunately, there are other considerations than those of an eye candy tier list when it comes to purchasing movies.

+100

Seriously. It's about the movie...not what will best show off your system.

Sometimes those two things are one in the same but if they're not, I care about the movie first.

It seems that the 10% off deal at Amazon stopped for awhile but seems now alive and well with orders placed today. This is at least for Blu-Ray. I don't order HD DVD anymore.
i'd prob would order some fox titles if i had the 10%.
Damn it Amazon should reissue the 10% to new costumers already.

I've been saying/thinking the same thing for a while now! I get really ticked because I just spent $460 (blu-ray's and HD DVD's) and thinking how nice to have that extra 10% off would have been.

They're still honoring the discount for all titles, you just need to email them to request it for a lot of titles... unfortunately.

not if you never qualified for the 10% off to begin with.

out of curiosity, does anyone know if amazon will offer the die hard box set cheaper then the $98 or is that as low as its going to get? i want to pre-order this so i get it on release but do not want to waist unnecessary dollars if i dont need to.

thanks
anthony

if you preorder now, u just need to talk to amazon if they do lower the price, and they'll fix it on ur order.

Die Hard Collection is 90.95 right now (81.85 with the 10% discount, which is working).

Amazon Price Adjustment 10/10/2007
King Arthur (Director's Cut) $15.95 from 19.95
Dinosaur $20.95 from 23.95
The Guardian $20.95 from 23.95
Rocky Balboa $24.95 from 26.95

Do they have this sale often? I mean the ps3 with 7 movies. I got a samsung 1400 but after all the threads I read on it I took it back and I am going to swallow my hate and buy a ps3 for movies. I'd rather have the 500 version cause I do have a few ps2 games and then I could sell my ps2 and pretty much pay 400 for it anyways. I just want to see if I can get some free movies in the process from amazon.

Blu-ray Sale: Buy One, Get One Free ---- 39 Blu-ray Titles from Amazon
post #171 of 194
I'm glad FOX isn't having a BD sale.
"Buy 2, Send us 1 at your cost"

A lot of the BDs cost less than there DVD counterparts.

Transformers is even more awesome if you're dual format. yes.
I don't even own a Blu-Ray player yet, but I'm about to order a bunch of these titles for when I go neutral later this year.

These will never be cheaper than this when you include the 10% off that I have.

Man, I got excited when I saw this deal! But then dissapointed as none of the titles of my Amazon wish list are part of this deal.

I've been holding out for the Pirates Box Set to get them, but here I just might pull the trigger.
Well thanks for the Amazon deal!! I am broke now LOL!

I got 8 BRs for a total of $75, average price $9.37

That extra 10% deal from Amazon from a year ago has REALLY paid off for me. Nice thing is they calculate the 10% off BEFORE they take off the FREE items!!

Example:

Shipping estimate for these items: October 22, 2007
Delivery estimate: October 29, 2007 - November 2, 2007

1 "G.I. Jane [Blu-ray]"
Jason Beghe; Blu-ray; $19.95

Sold by: Amazon.com

1 "Remember the Titans [Blu-ray]"
Denzel Washington; Blu-ray; $19.95

Sold by: Amazon.com

Shipping Method: FREE Super Saver Shipping
Shipping Preference: Group my items into as few shipments as possible
Subtotal of Items: $39.90
Shipping & Handling: $3.97
BN Promotion Applied -$3.99

Super Saver Discount -$3.97

Promotion Applied -$19.95

------
Total for this Order: $15.96

Can't complain about that at all!!

Much better than the BB or CC deal. This deal combined with the Fry's order from Friday (that one ended up being 6 BRs for $69 shipped) has really hurt the old wallet.

Thanks again.

Now here we have a smart individual with foresight.

Man I just bought 3 Blu-Rays myself, & my friend got 3 Blu-Rays for $72. I don't have that 10% coupon thing, damn it. Still excellent prices I can't wait till I get Pearl Harbor, Deja Vu & The Wild.
Just an FYI.. this BOGO Amazon deal is going to end this weekend.

I've been trying to decide how to use it, but there are just too few titles. I could buy "Lookout" and see what it's really like, but I would have to get another to make it pay, and that would have to be for resale only. It's tough !

Unless Fox has unofficially dropped their MSRP, the $4 drop is an Amazon deal.
