He told me hes not sure if he can do the 10% but he will look into it, or at least try to meet me half way, (10% would be $270 off)......he told me he will look into it tho and see if he can in fact do the 10%, and when i finally pick up the tv, we will make the deal and see where we can get the discount too. he promised me i will walk away from this very happy, and i told him if he does this for me, i will be a very very happy customer despite all the trouble i have had and that i will recommend all my friends and co workers who are looking for tv's to his store. he said well wow i would really appreciate that, and again i promise you that you will be happy, i want to satisfy you and be able to keep u coming back to my stores......................so looks like i am definetly getting more than $75, even half of the 10% would be $135(i which i would be happy with if thats all he can do), but i have a feeling he will do better than that when i finally pick up the tv...hes a very nice guy and i am very suprised, i am glad i called back thats for sure and didnt settle for $75, lol screw that.

It's been a pleasure to assist you and not a bad end result at all. If I might add one thing, repeating some of the myriad suggestions I offered earlier:
He says "...he's
not sure he can do 10%." Then he absolutely can! He knows
precisely what he can or cannot do! He's the
Regional Manager. He can do anything he wants! He can give you this thing at cost if he wants to! Ten percent is appropriate and adequate compensation and you should not appear eager at his offer of 5%. Where I live, that's only two tanks of gas!
Whether salaried or not, take a look at how your hourly wage breaks down, and multiply
that dollar figure times the TOTAL number of hours you've invested into every aspect of this. THEN add gasoline.
That sub-total doesn't even account for your frustration and anxiety.

I assume BB and CC operate similarly, at similar margins. Let me recount my experience at BB a week ago: The Pio 5080 and 5010 were both on sale, and actually at very good prices. Two stores jacked me around on the 5080, telling me over the phone that they had them in stock and yet when i arrived, they had none. After the second occurance, I went back to the first to get some consideration. (Mind you, this in no way approaches the FUBAR situation you've dealt with!) The mgr had no 5080s but had the 5010. Already on sale,
HE OFFERED ME an additional 10%, which for that set, at the sale price, amounted to an additional $399! (If you do the math you can figure out what the sale and my new price was, and I still couldn't afford it.) I countered: "I'll take 10% off the current 5080 sale price and wait 3 days for it, fair enough?" (That amounted to an additional $199 off.) Sure, no problem...glad we could make you happy.
Hang tough! Don't know about you but the difference between $135 and $270 is significant to me. And then of course there's that satisfaction of knowing you closed the deal and got what
YOU wanted.
If he absolutely won't do 270--split the diff and take $200.
