I don't have a chatpad, but the Turtle Beach X1 that I currently have has a little adapter/puck thing that connects to the controller that gets added and removed all the time. That stays on well because it also connects to those little plastic attachment areas beside the jack itself. I'll have to try the cable on a different controller when I get home.

I also use the white/red analog input for my netbook. They all work at the same time, but not ON at the same time. From what I remember, if the source for all of them are on, the Mixamp will output the toslink audio and mute the others. I'll have to find my digital coax converter and hook it up to the ps3 while the toslink is used by the 360 to see which one the mixamp outputs. I'm 100% sure it's the toslink over the rest.

Edit: By the way what does the techflex feel like? I used standard black PET expandable sleeving with my AD700s which is nice but a bit "plasticy," as you would expect from the material. Is techflex the same? I'm interested in something a bit more soft than the PET I guess...

I was hoping to get/do something like this out of Epoxy Putty, but I think it'll take alot of doing (Molding/Sanding/Priming/Painting) that I may not be ready for (unless I can find something pre-made that will work.
