pc speaker question

point me to the right forum (or a completely different site) if this area is not right...

I am trying to figure out a method to control volumes individually on pc speaker system. By that I mean if I had 5 pc speakers I would like to set speaker A to volume x, B to x+3, C to x-2.... etc.

I have not purchased the speakers yet but I cant seem to find a set with individual controls.

A splitter with 2 pairs of speakers would probably suffice but then I would only have 2 controllable points?

Software solution with a regular 5.1 set of speakers?

any suggestions?

check your sound card software (assuming its a 5.1 or better card) i know some have util that let u boost the channels individually. or some 5.1 speakers setups have a external amp that lets u control em

my card is probably not 5.1 but im sure you can get a pretty cheap one. Are the ampe controls usually on the subwoofer?
