Fans for TV stands and Equipment racks

I have a problem I am running into. I have a nice piece of furniture that is solid wood on the sides, shelves and the back panels. It has glass doors and right now I have to leave it open all the time. I need some ventilation because my 10month old is now opening and closing the doors. Not a big deal except when the door is closed long enough the heat from the AV/Receiver (Right under the cable box) and the heat from the cable box always make the Cable Box screw up until I unplug it, let it stand and cool down. I was going to just use a plunge router and make slots in the back but I don't think that will do enough.

Then I thought of using some fans to cool the stand. I thought i saw a place the sold these things just for HT equipment. Please help me with some ideas. I am willing to try anything.

I just ordered the cooling fan set from yampanet.com. As soon as I get it in and setup I will take some pictures and let you know how it works out.
