With more exclusive studios will more HD DVD deals follow?

Many people here see that Blu-Ray tends to get more sales and promotions. 50% off from Amazon, buy 2 get 1 free deals at stores, etc.... Do you all think HD DVD will see more sales promotions with Paramount and Dreamworks as exclusive studios in addition to Universal? Because that would rock! If there was a buy 2 get 1 free deal for HD DVD I'd go on a crazy spending frenzy! lol

I should hope so, I can't see why Universal and Weinstein didn't team up with Amazon when they were the only exclusives and have some impressive sales stats to brag about.

More than likely, those deals will begin to disappear to help pay for Paramount exclusivity. That money had to come from somewhere. If it's not from Microsoft, then HD DVD fans'll be paying for it one way or another.

Money doesn't grow on trees. If it's not Microsoft, then it's got to be Toshiba. In which case, they blew their free disc budget on getting you no more discs, just less discs for Blu-ray owners.

Good deal for Toshiba, maybe not such a good deal for you.

I'll pay some serious coinage for many of these Paramount EXCLUSIVE titles. Sales are nice...but I'm buying either way.

I guess the money that Sony paid for studios to make BD was just a charity donation.

I have been hopeing this for months,I think that these kind of deals is what has helped Blu-ray owns get the numbers they have in disk sales...I would be buying more HD DVD's if these kinds of deals where going on just for the simple fact that you never know when they will come back around again...
